Synextra is an independent Azure specialist supporting regulated UK businesses, including law firms, mortgage lenders and financial services organisations. We’re small by design, with a focus on technical depth, customer service and taking responsibility for the environments we run.

Alongside our managed cloud services, our AI engineering team builds agent products for those same customers. We’re looking for an experienced Azure engineer who enjoys solving difficult operational problems and delivering engineering work alongside developers.

The role

You’ll work across our cloud engineering team, client projects and AI engineering team, combining deep Azure troubleshooting with planned development and automation work.

Our customers run a wide variety of environments in Azure, from virtual machines, networking and identity through to managed application services and modern cloud platforms. You’ll be someone our wider cloud engineering team can turn to for the most complex or significant Azure issues—helping investigate faults, restore service and understand what needs to change to prevent a repeat.

Alongside that operational responsibility, you’ll contribute to development sprints: building environments in Terraform, improving deployment pipelines, implementing monitoring and developing the platforms that support our AI products.

We’re looking for someone who enjoys that breadth. You’re comfortable getting into the detail of a difficult customer incident, sharing your expertise with other engineers and taking planned work through implementation, review, testing and release.

What you’ll be doing

Supporting customers and our cloud engineering team

Act as a senior technical escalation point for complex and high-impact Azure incidents across customer environments.
Troubleshoot across infrastructure and application services, including compute, networking, DNS, identity, storage and service dependencies.
Work alongside other engineers to investigate faults, restore service and communicate clear findings and next steps.
Follow significant incidents through to root cause, turning findings into improvements in configuration, monitoring, automation and operational guidance.
Share your expertise through practical troubleshooting, technical reviews and mentoring.
Participate in an on-call rota as part of delivering production systems.

Delivering projects and sprint work

Build and maintain Azure environments using Terraform, including reusable modules, state management and drift remediation.
Develop and improve CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions.
Work with developers to refine requirements, break work into manageable tasks and deliver changes through pull requests, testing and release.
Automate recurring tasks and replace manual processes with dependable, repeatable solutions.
Contribute to technical designs and help make practical decisions about reliability, security, performance and cost.
Produce clear documentation and handovers so the wider team can confidently support what you build.

Working with our AI engineering team

Build and operate the Azure environments supporting our AI products and customer deployments.
Develop deployment pipelines across development, testing and production, including isolated client environments.
Implement networking, identity, secrets management and access controls.
Improve monitoring, alerting and visibility into service performance and cost, including AI consumption.
Help developers investigate production issues and turn operational experience into better engineering practices.

Job requirements

What you’ll bring

Strong hands-on Azure experience across both IaaS and PaaS, with a track record of diagnosing complex production faults.
A solid understanding of how compute, networking, DNS, identity and storage interact, and confidence investigating problems that cross those boundaries.
Practical experience with Azure application services such as App Service, Container Apps, Functions or API Management.
Experience writing and maintaining Terraform, including modules, state management and safely changing existing environments.
Experience building or maintaining CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions, and working through Git branches, pull requests and code review.
The ability to write useful automation in PowerShell, Python or another scripting language.
Clear communication with customers and colleagues, sound judgement during incidents and the ability to deliver agreed engineering work independently.

You don’t need to have used every Azure service. We’re interested in the depth of your understanding, how you investigate unfamiliar problems and the work you’ve delivered.

Useful additional experience

Working in an MSP, consultancy, SaaS business or development team.
Supporting regulated customers or operating across multiple customer environments.
Azure Monitor, Application Insights, KQL or OpenTelemetry.
Multi-tenant architecture and tenant isolation.
Deploying or operating AI and LLM-based services.
Relevant Microsoft certifications, such as AZ-104, AZ-305 or AZ-400. We’ll fund relevant certifications you want to work towards.

DevOps Engineer

Era4 develops, owns and operates AI infrastructure across the UK, powered by renewable energy. Converting legacy industrial and energy sites into modern data-centre facilities, Era4 is combining brownfield regeneration opportunities with cleaner, efficient, scalable compute capacity for healthcare, research, finance, enterprise, and public-sector organisations.

Role Summary:
We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to design, operate and continuously improve our Kubernetes-based AI infrastructure. This hands-on role will focus on cloud-native platform engineering, GPU-accelerated workloads, bare-metal servers, automation and systems reliability, helping to deliver a secure, scalable and high-performing AI platform for ML engineers, data scientists and enterprise customers.

You will help build and operate our AI infrastructure, supporting Linux systems, Kubernetes platforms and automation initiatives. Working alongside experienced engineers and technology partners, you’ll contribute to the delivery of secure, reliable and scalable services.

Responsibilities:

Deploy and maintain bare-metal servers, Linux systems and data-centre infrastructure.
Configure, support and troubleshoot Kubernetes clusters and workloads.
Manage NVIDIA GPU infrastructure, monitoring performance and resource utilisation.
Automate infrastructure and operational processes using IaC and DevOps tools.
Support security, access management and platform governance.
Collaborate with engineering teams, vendors and customers to resolve technical issues.
Produce technical documentation and support infrastructure deployments.
Participate in operational support and on-call activities.

Required Skills & Experience:

Experience working with Linux servers and infrastructure environments.
Exposure to bare-metal hardware, data centres or enterprise platforms.
Knowledge of Kubernetes and containerised environments.
Understanding of NVIDIA GPUs, AI infrastructure or high-performance computing environments.
Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code, automation and scripting tools.
Experience with technologies such as Ansible, Git, YAML, Python or CI/CD pipelines.
Strong troubleshooting skills and willingness to learn new technologies.
Ability to work across infrastructure, platform and operational environments.

What You’ll Take On:

Create and modify infrastructure code to provision and configure cloud resources in line with IaaS, SaaS and PaaS solutions
Automate the creation & deployment of Development, Test, PreProduction and Production environments via Infrastructure-as-Code
Manage CI/CD pipelines (YAML) – configure automated infrastructure and software build/deployment/release processes, using Git for version control and code management
Maintain and govern all environments to ensure consistency of software
Management of application Source Code, including ensuring that branching strategies are followed
Use monitoring tools for Applications, Servers & Services diagnostics
Assist Development teams with performance and volume testing, and troubleshooting build and deployment issues
Identify departmental processes that where possible can be streamlined or automated
Create and maintain technical documentation detailing High Level and Low Level Cloud solutions
Provide Cloud expertise to guide the Project teams to develop in the most efficient manner and in line with best practices
Ensure use of DevSecOps principles and work alongside both internal and external Auditing and Security teams in order to maintain security of all environments and data
Work in tandem with agile principles, participating in sprint ceremonies and effectively managing own workload
Coordinate and liaise with development project teams (Developers, QA Analyst, Project Managers) on requirements, planning and status updates

DevOps Engineer

Description

As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will join a substantial global engineering organisation and work in a team of highly skilled engineers in the SaaS platform area. You will be part of a team that follows Agile methodologies to deliver market-leading insurance solutions. This is a new position created as the organisation continues to grow and accelerate the delivery of innovative solutions that harness the latest advances in technology.

The role is to work on the evolution of the SaaS delivery platform for WTW’s flagship product Radar Live SaaS. You will have worked on large scale and globally deployed SaaS applications that have a mature stack management capability. A sound technical background is essential to be successful in this role with experience in delivering large scale Cloud services.

The ideal candidate will enjoy building automated, environment-agnostic cloud platforms. Have strong troubleshooting and operational instincts. Prefer IaC and policy-driven automation over manual work. Be comfortable working across Dev, Ops, Security, and Architecture. Can balance reliability, quality, speed, and practical engineering trade-offs.
The Role

As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will be expected to:

Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC)

Maintain and extend IaC modules using OpenTofu (Terraform fork).
Implement reusable, parameterized templates for Azure infrastructure.
Automate environment provisioning across development and production.
Manage backend state, pipelines, and state-change detection integrations.

Platform Engineering & SRE

Own and improve reliability, observability, and performance of the platform.
Implement SLOs, alerting, dashboards, and auto remediation where possible.
Troubleshoot cluster level, networking, and workload deployment issues.
Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and drive long-term reliability improvements.

Automation & Tooling

Develop automation scripts and tooling in PowerShell.
Build and optimize Azure DevOps (ADO) YAML pipelines.
Integrate automated testing, security scanning, and automated rollout strategies like blue/green or canary where appropriate.

Workflow & Delivery

Work in an Agile environment using ADO for planning and tracking.

Senior Solutions Engineer

As a Senior Solutions Engineer at CircleCI you will be the customer’s trusted technical advisor throughout the sales and retention lifecycle. What We’re Looking For

5-10 years experience as an engineer in the application development, devops, or CI/CD space.
Extensive experience with solutions selling in a technical customer-facing role, such as Sales Engineer, Solutions Engineer, Customer Success Engineer, or similar position, preferably in a SaaS or software development environment.
Strong proficiency in CI/CD concepts, DevOps practices, software configuration, and scripting languages like Python, Shell, etc..
Knowledge of Docker or Linux containers in general.
Outstanding presentation skills. You feel comfortable leading presentations and demos of our platform to groups, both technical and non-technical, in-person and virtually.
Proven track record of engaging with enterprise clients, understanding their technical requirements, and delivering solutions that drive customer success.
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, Sales, Product, and Engineering, to advocate for customer needs and provide valuable insights for product enhancement.

Ideal Candidates might also have:
