What You’ll Be Doing

• Develop and optimise embedded software connecting hardware, firmware, and wireless technologies for high performance and reliability
• Integrate and refine wireless communication protocols within software systems
• Debug embedded software, particularly within wireless environments
• Work with operating systems such as Linux, FreeRTOS, and Zephyr
• Collaborate closely with hardware and wireless engineers to deliver cohesive system designs
• Support development across both wired and wireless networking environments
• Contribute to system architecture using UML and established development methodologies
• Review code and designs, and support or mentor junior engineers where needed

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• 6+ years of experience in embedded systems development
• Strong experience with wireless protocols such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Zigbee, or DECT
• Knowledge of networking protocols including Ethernet and TCP/IP
• Proficiency in C++ and object-oriented design for embedded systems
• Ability to design scalable, maintainable software architectures
• Experience working with embedded operating systems and hardware integration
• Strong analytical thinking and sound engineering judgement
