This role is centred around building high-impact, customer-focused software, where you’ll take full ownership of features and help shape product direction. The Role
CloudFactory is seeking a Tech Lead to drive technical architecture and engineering excellence across its platforms. This is a hands-on leadership role combining software engineering, DevOps, and client-facing consultancy.

You will take ownership of cloud-native systems under a “build it, run it” model, ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, and production-ready. In addition to internal development, you will work closely with clients to design and implement practical, high-impact technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and evolution of scalable, distributed, cloud-native architectures
• Build and maintain high-performance backend systems, primarily using Go (Golang)
• Drive DevOps best practices, including CI/CD, Kubernetes, and infrastructure automation
• Ensure operational excellence across reliability, security, and system observability
• Manage technical debt and make strategic architectural decisions aligned with business goals
• Act as a technical consultant, translating business needs into scalable platform solutions
• Design Proofs of Concept (PoCs) and support complex integrations

Key Requirements

• 7+ years’ experience building and operating complex, scalable software systems
• Strong expertise in Go (Golang) and backend engineering
• Deep knowledge of cloud-native technologies, including Kubernetes and Infrastructure-as-Code
• Experience with AWS and/or GCP, including cloud architecture and security
• Strong background in distributed systems, microservices, and asynchronous messaging
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and observability tools (e.g. Prometheus, New Relic, ELK)
• Confident communicator with experience engaging technical and non-technical stakeholders
