£65,000–£80,000 per year | Hybrid, Warrington | Full-time, permanent | 37.5 hours per week

About Synextra

Synextra is an independent Azure specialist supporting regulated UK businesses, including law firms, mortgage lenders and financial services organisations. We’re small by design, with a focus on technical depth, customer service and taking responsibility for the environments we run.

Alongside our managed cloud services, our AI engineering team builds agent products for those same customers. We’re looking for an experienced Azure engineer who enjoys solving difficult operational problems and delivering engineering work alongside developers.

The role

You’ll work across our cloud engineering team, client projects and AI engineering team, combining deep Azure troubleshooting with planned development and automation work.

Our customers run a wide variety of environments in Azure, from virtual machines, networking and identity through to managed application services and modern cloud platforms. You’ll be someone our wider cloud engineering team can turn to for the most complex or significant Azure issues—helping investigate faults, restore service and understand what needs to change to prevent a repeat.

Alongside that operational responsibility, you’ll contribute to development sprints: building environments in Terraform, improving deployment pipelines, implementing monitoring and developing the platforms that support our AI products.

We’re looking for someone who enjoys that breadth. You’re comfortable getting into the detail of a difficult customer incident, sharing your expertise with other engineers and taking planned work through implementation, review, testing and release.

What you’ll be doing

Supporting customers and our cloud engineering team

Act as a senior technical escalation point for complex and high-impact Azure incidents across customer environments.

Troubleshoot across infrastructure and application services, including compute, networking, DNS, identity, storage and service dependencies.

Work alongside other engineers to investigate faults, restore service and communicate clear findings and next steps.

Follow significant incidents through to root cause, turning findings into improvements in configuration, monitoring, automation and operational guidance.

Share your expertise through practical troubleshooting, technical reviews and mentoring.

Participate in an on-call rota as part of delivering production systems.

Delivering projects and sprint work

Build and maintain Azure environments using Terraform, including reusable modules, state management and drift remediation.

Develop and improve CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions.

Work with developers to refine requirements, break work into manageable tasks and deliver changes through pull requests, testing and release.

Automate recurring tasks and replace manual processes with dependable, repeatable solutions.

Contribute to technical designs and help make practical decisions about reliability, security, performance and cost.

Produce clear documentation and handovers so the wider team can confidently support what you build.

Working with our AI engineering team

Build and operate the Azure environments supporting our AI products and customer deployments.

Develop deployment pipelines across development, testing and production, including isolated client environments.

Implement networking, identity, secrets management and access controls.

Improve monitoring, alerting and visibility into service performance and cost, including AI consumption.

Help developers investigate production issues and turn operational experience into better engineering practices.

What you’ll bring

Strong hands-on Azure experience across both IaaS and PaaS, with a track record of diagnosing complex production faults.

A solid understanding of how compute, networking, DNS, identity and storage interact, and confidence investigating problems that cross those boundaries.

Practical experience with Azure application services such as App Service, Container Apps, Functions or API Management.

Experience writing and maintaining Terraform, including modules, state management and safely changing existing environments.

Experience building or maintaining CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions, and working through Git branches, pull requests and code review.

The ability to write useful automation in PowerShell, Python or another scripting language.

Clear communication with customers and colleagues, sound judgement during incidents and the ability to deliver agreed engineering work independently.

You don’t need to have used every Azure service. We’re interested in the depth of your understanding, how you investigate unfamiliar problems and the work you’ve delivered.

Useful additional experience

Working in an MSP, consultancy, SaaS business or development team.

Supporting regulated customers or operating across multiple customer environments.

Azure Monitor, Application Insights, KQL or OpenTelemetry.

Multi-tenant architecture and tenant isolation.

Deploying or operating AI and LLM-based services.

Relevant Microsoft certifications, such as AZ-104, AZ-305 or AZ-400. We’ll fund relevant certifications you want to work towards.

How we work

Customer support and planned engineering delivery are both substantial parts of this role. You’ll work with colleagues across the teams to agree priorities, communicate when urgent work affects delivery and follow tasks through to a proper conclusion.

We value people who stay calm when something breaks, ask good questions and share what they learn. Your contribution will be visible in the reliability of our customer environments, the quality of what we deliver and the capability of the engineers around you.

What we offer

A salary of £65,000–£80,000, depending on relevant experience and capability.

Hybrid working based at our Birchwood Park office in Warrington.

A permanent, full-time role working 37.5 hours per week.

Funded relevant Microsoft certifications.

Varied technical work across customer environments, cloud projects and AI products.

Direct access to leadership and the opportunity to influence technical decisions and working practices.

Job description

About Us:

We’re not your typical MSP. As a second-generation Managed Service Provider (MSP) born from the expertise of industry veterans, we’re crafting a new narrative in the UK tech scene.

Our team, akin to the Navy SEALs of the tech world, consists of elite operators who’ve excelled in larger MSP environments but yearned for something more. At Synextra, we’ve spent over 10 transformative years building a company that’s small by design but colossal in impact, guided by a technical leader whose vision is always client-first.

The role: We’re looking for an experienced Project Manager to independently coordinate and deliver projects across our managed services environment, spanning cloud migrations to Azure, connectivity, enterprise services, AI and data transformation. You’ll own the full project lifecycle, transforming High-Level Designs into structured, well-governed delivery that meets client expectations and aligns with our delivery capacity and risk appetite.

The ideal candidate is a confident, autonomous operator who thrives on managing multiple concurrent workstreams and acting as the vital link between internal teams, clients, and third-party vendors. You’ll partner with stakeholders at every level, from platform engineers through to C-level and Board, to prioritise initiatives, control scope and risk, and keep delivery on track.

This is a hands-on delivery role with room to grow: you’ll champion governance best practices, contribute to how our delivery function operates, and help shape continuous improvement as the business scales.

Core Responsibilities:

Take full ownership of project delivery across our MSP portfolio from initiation through to closure.

Turn High-Level Designs and client briefs into structured, realistic project plans, working with technical teams to clarify assumptions and keep delivery aligned to client expectations.

Run the full governance rhythm: project plans, RAID, change control, status reporting, and steering, keeping scope, schedule, and cost tightly controlled.

Facilitate Agile ceremonies (stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, retrospectives) and tailor Scrum-inspired and Kanban approaches to suit each project.

Build and maintain management dashboards that give clients and internal teams real-time visibility of progress and performance.

Act as the central point of contact across internal teams, clients, and third-party vendors, resolving queries and keeping everyone aligned.

Manage the operational handover to Managed Services, controlling documentation, training, and transition meetings for a clean exit from project to BAU.

Report project status, risks, and recommendations to Senior Leadership and the Board, influencing prioritisation and investment decisions.

Track time recordings, forecasts, and utilisation, supporting the wider team with guidance and training on accurate reporting.

Capture lessons learned and feed them back into how we improve delivery and governance over time.

Job requirements

Skills and Experience Required:

Exceptional organisational skills and the ability to plan and execute own workload in a fast-paced environment

Highly analytical mindset, meticulous attention to detail and a proactive approach

Comfortable doing and not just delegating

Proven commercial track record delivering IT/technology projects end to end, ideally within an MSP or managed services environment.

Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Azure cloud migrations, connectivity, and data protection projects.

Confident ownership of project governance: project plans, RAID, change control, status reporting, and steering.

Hands-on experience facilitating Agile ceremonies and working across Agile and hybrid delivery methodologies.

Excellent stakeholder management skills, comfortable engaging and influencing C-level and director-level stakeholders, as well as leading the team on the delivery journey

Understanding of client operations within regulated sectors (legal, financial, professional services), aligning to data protection and compliance requirements.

What We Offer:

A unique, empowering environment where your voice matters and your contributions are pivotal

Direct support from leadership that values your growth and well-being

A culture that’s both technically astute and commercially savvy, where learning and collaboration are part of our DNA

Your Background:

Proven commercial experience delivering complex technology projects within a Microsoft-focused MSP or managed services environment, ideally 2 years or more.

Experience working in cross-functional teams alongside technical consultants and platform engineers.

Track record of presenting to and influencing senior leadership on prioritisation and investment decisions.

Project Management qualifications – Prince2 or similar

Experience working in a very fast paced, ever changing environment with the ability to resolve issues and conflicts that arise, often requiring quick and effective decision-making.

Self-motivated, analytical thinker with a proven history of exceeding goals

Location: London (Hybrid — Tuesday to Thursday in the office)

Department: Sales

Reporting to: Director of Cloud Sales

ABOUT NEXGEN CLOUD:

NexGen Cloud is the company behind Hyperstack, a full-stack AI cloud serving tens of thousands of customers from AI researchers to enterprises running the world’s most compute-intensive workloads. We deliver on-demand and private GPU infrastructure to teams who treat performance as a requirement, not a feature.

We’re a tight-knit, fast-moving team working at the cutting edge of AI cloud infrastructure. We practice what we preach, equipping our people with AI at every level so we can solve harder problems, ship faster, and keep raising the bar for what enterprise GPU infrastructure looks like.

THE ROLE: Senior Business Development Manager – Vertical Markets

Hyperstack already runs production GPU capacity at scale for AI start-ups, AI service providers and enterprise AI teams. This role exists to extend that position into compute-intensive, regulated and specialist industries — financial services, healthcare and life sciences, robotics and autonomous systems, computer vision and industrial AI — where compute budgets are already committed and infrastructure partners are being chosen now.

You’ll own a named vertical end to end: the demand thesis, the target account map, the outbound motion, and every deal through to signature. This is a full-cycle role with real ownership, not a top-of-funnel handoff — you’ll become the recognised commercial authority for your vertical inside NexGen, and a credible presence in that industry externally.

Role positioning: this is a role for a senior seller who already holds trust in a compute-intensive industry and wants full ownership of turning that trust into a book of business — the strategy, the pipeline and the close.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

Rather than a long checklist, here’s what success in this role looks like:

Own a named vertical end to end — build the demand thesis, size the addressable market, and turn it into a prioritised target account map

Self-source the majority of your own pipeline and reach the people who decide compute budget: CIO, CTO, Chief Data or AI Officer, and the procurement and risk functions that gate them

Lead technical discovery to a real specification, then own the full cycle to signature — commercial proposal, security review, procurement, legal and MSA negotiation

Structure multi-year committed reservations and on-demand entry points, and keep a forecast the business can plan capacity against

Build Hyperstack’s presence in your vertical — industry events, analyst and partner relationships, reference customers and case studies

Feed vertical requirements into Product, Capacity and Marketing with enough specificity to change decisions, then follow through until they land

Act as the internal reference point for your vertical — brief the wider Sales team and raise the technical floor around you

ABOUT YOU:

We’re more interested in how you think and work than in a perfect CV. You’ll likely bring a combination of the following:

Essential

8+ years in business development, enterprise sales or solution sales, including at least 3 years carrying a new business number in complex enterprise environments

A demonstrable record of opening net-new enterprise logos from a standing start — self-sourced, not inherited and not renewal-led

Deep credibility in at least one compute-intensive vertical — financial services, healthcare and life sciences, robotics and autonomous systems, computer vision and industrial AI, media and entertainment, or engineering and simulation — including an active network at buying level

Substantive infrastructure fluency (cloud, IaaS, HPC, data centre, GPU or AI compute), or a proven history of learning a technical domain to the point of holding your own with engineers

Evidence of closing complex deals through procurement, security review and legal, with contract values and cycle lengths you can talk to in detail

Nice to Have

Experience at a neo-cloud, GPU-as-a-Service platform, hyperscaler or HPC infrastructure vendor

Prior ownership of a vertical or industry go-to-market as a named remit

Familiarity with regulated buying environments — data residency and sovereignty, isolation requirements, and the security and compliance reviews that come with them

Experience selling committed capacity or reservation-style contracts rather than pure consumption

Formal sales methodology — MEDDPICC, Command of the Message or equivalent

WHAT WE OFFER:

Competitive base salary with uncapped commission and accelerators above target, plus equity participation

Private Medical Insurance

Employee wellbeing benefits

25 days of holiday, plus public holidays

Hybrid working, with Tuesday to Thursday in the London office

Real ownership of a named vertical, with the trust to build and run it as your own

A clear route to principal-level individual contribution or vertical leadership as your vertical scales

A collaborative, international culture built on trust, transparency, and ownership

The chance to help shape NexGen Cloud’s team, culture, and future alongside ambitious, mission-driven colleagues

👋 About Us

Every year, hundreds of thousands of homeowners could move but don’t, and homes that could sell never reach the market. The property market is slower and more closed than it should be. Homesearch is building the intelligence layer that gets it moving, connecting people, homes and agents through data and AI. Our vision is a fully connected, faster, more open property market.

We’re one of the UK’s leading PropTech platforms for estate agents, helping them win more listings, understand their local market, and turn existing contacts into new instructions. Our products, including HAILO and ReContact, are picking up real momentum and fast becoming tools agents know and trust. We’re a trusted partner to Reapit, Dezrez, Rex, MRI and other leading CRMs, and we’re on our way to One Homesearch: a single, unified platform rather than a collection of tools. We’re a team of around 40, backed by Octopus Ventures.

💼 About the Role

Product at Homesearch has been founder-led so far, and it’s taken us a long way: strong data, strong engineering, products agents want. We’ve grown by building a lot. Five products, five logins, five data sets. What we need now is someone to own product properly, decide the direction, and lead the team that builds it.

This role brings product and engineering leadership together, which we believe is where these roles are heading. You’ll set the product strategy and you’ll lead the engineering team: their work, their development, how we deliver. We have an engineering lead who owns the technical side and architecture, so you’re not being asked to be a CTO. You’re being asked to decide what we build and why, and to lead the people building it.

You’ll work closely with Giles, our founder, and you’ll be building the product function as you go. That means hiring your first Product Manager early, setting the standards, and establishing how product works here. A contract product person is already underway on a scoped project and will report to you.

🔥 What You’ll Do

Own product strategy: what we build, why, in what order, and what we deliberately don’t.

Lead the engineering team on the people and delivery side. One to ones, progression, accountability, making sure we ship.

Turn five products into one coherent direction the whole company understands.

Diagnose what’s actually getting in the way across product and engineering in your first 30 days, while taking over the team.

Build the product function. Hire your first Product Manager, set how product works here.

Work closely with Giles and the leadership team, bringing independent judgement and challenging with evidence.

Partner with our engineering lead on the technical side, and across data, design, sales and customer success.

😊 About You

You’ve owned product strategy. Not been adjacent to it, not run someone else’s roadmap. This is the thing we most need.

You’ve led people, and you want to. You’re comfortable being accountable for a team’s performance and development, and you don’t see management as the tax on the strategy job.

You’re strategic. You can hold a messy set of ideas and turn them into one direction people can follow.

You’re a really clear communicator. It’s an important part of this role, and we’re looking for a true leader.

You’re technical enough to be credible. You can follow the conversation, challenge an estimate and earn the team’s respect. You don’t need to be writing code.

You’ve worked in startups or scale-ups, and you’re used to growth environments.

You’ve worked in B2B SaaS. A mix of B2B and B2C is genuinely useful given where we’re going.

You’re comfortable with ambiguity and you move quickly through it rather than waiting for it to clear.

You’re kind and collaborative, and you bring enough authority that people follow the direction you set.

Extra points for:

A technical background you moved into product from.

Coming at this from the engineering side with a genuine product track record.

Having built a product function somewhere it didn’t exist before.

✨ How We Work

Our values run through everything we do. Remove Friction: make everything seamless. Stay Curious: ask, learn, improve. Own It: take the lead, own the result. Raise the Bar: think big, deliver value. We’re high performers who care about the mission and each other. High standards, open communication, and no room for ego or politics.

⛳️ Perks

Competitive salary, plus share options, so you share in the upside you create.

25 days holiday plus bank holidays.

A MacBook to work on.

An office with a free on-site gym, free yoga and gym classes, sauna and regular events.

Hybrid working, 2 to 3 days a week at our office in London Victoria.

The chance to build the product function at a fast-growing PropTech, at a real turning point for the company.

It’s an incredibly exciting time to work in energy. Join us on our mission to improve the lives of ONE BILLION humans within the decade and shape a cleaner, better future for everyone.

AI is a key investment area for Kraken Technologies. A crucial part of this is building the shared foundations that let every team use AI well and move faster on our mission.

You’ll work in AI Foundations. We build the platform that lets teams across Kraken build and run AI agents. Our work covers four areas:

Access: connecting people and systems to approved AI models and tools

Context: grounding AI in trusted Kraken knowledge, data and systems

Enablement: reusable building blocks for AI-powered workflows and products

Governance: permissions, safety, quality, cost and visibility across the lifecycle

🏡 Where you’ll fit in
We’re hiring Senior Software Engineers to join one of our three squads:

Context: Build the Kraken-specific knowledge layer to make LLMs useful. This covers our internal AI assistant, a structured “client brain” that captures client context and decisions, and pipelines that collect knowledge from tools like Notion, Slack and GitHub.

Tooling: deliver LLMs into people’s hands. We run the AI Hub (usage insights, MCP gateway, self-serve and specialist agents), the LiteLLM gateway behind Claude Code, Codex and Claude Desktop, and secure cloud dev boxes for AI-assisted engineering.

Evals & Observability: covers skill evals, internal benchmarking, agent safety and guardrails, and observability for live AI runs.

Squads are flexible: when priorities shift, people move. This is a hands-on senior individual-contributor role. With your squad lead and the wider team, you’ll own large parts of our platform, turn ideas into production systems, shape architecture decisions and help raise the engineering bar.

👾 What you’ll own

Build shared AI platform services: Design, build and run Python services that other teams rely on, such as gateways, agent runtimes, knowledge pipelines and eval harnesses.

Build and run agents: Work out how agents are triggered, authenticated, monitored and governed across systems like Slack, GitHub, Notion and Asana. Ship both self-serve agents and specialist agents.

Ground AI in Kraken context: Collect, structure and serve company knowledge so agents give answers that are correct, current and safe to use.

Measure and prove quality: Define meaningful test cases, build evals whose results can be reproduced, and add tracing so we know how AI behaves in real use.

Build in safety and governance: Turn permissions, guardrails, budgets and data-access rules into software you can maintain, working with Security and TechOps.

Operate in AWS: Deploy and support services on AWS and Kubernetes, and make sound reliability, performance and cost trade-offs.

Drive adoption: Work directly with engineers and non-technical teams, run workshops, write clear docs and turn feedback into product.

Raise the engineering bar: Review designs and code, mentor others, and create patterns that can be reused across AI Foundations.

🧠 What you bring to the party

Strong senior-level software engineering: You have owned complex services end to end, from design through testing, deployment and operation.

Deep engineering fundamentals: Good judgement on system design, concurrency, security, testing and architecture trade-offs. Strong production Python.

Hands-on LLM and agent experience: You have built real things with LLMs, you know where they fail, and you use AI coding tools every day.

Cloud experience: You’re comfortable running services in AWS and owning their reliability and scalability.

Product sense: You care whether people actually use what you build.

Clear communication: You can explain trade-offs to technical and non-technical people and challenge ideas constructively.

Learning agility: You pick up new tools and domains quickly in a field that changes every month.

🚀 What success looks like

Adoption: You ship platform features that teams across Kraken adopt and rely on.

Solid systems: The services you own are observable, secure, scalable and cost-aware.

Trust at scale: Teams can build and trust agents without rebuilding the basics.

Team impact: You make your squad, and the teams around it, better.

⭐️ Bonus points:

AI engineering: Pydantic AI, LiteLLM, LangChain, MCP servers

Knowledge and retrieval: RAG, search, embeddings, knowledge graphs

Evals and safety: Inspect AI, Ragas, OpenAI Evals, NeMo Guardrails, red teaming

Platform: Kubernetes, sandboxed or cloud dev environments, AWS Bedrock

Backend: Django

Observability: Datadog, OpenTelemetry

Kraken powers some of the most innovative global developments in energy.

We create the technology that redefines utilities and unlocks a new energy system of the future. By optimising renewable generation, building a more intelligent grid, and empowering utilities to deliver an exceptional customer experience, our operating system is transforming the industry worldwide.

It’s an incredibly exciting time to work in energy. Join us on our mission to improve the lives of ONE BILLION humans within the decade and shape a cleaner, better future for everyone.

🏡 Where you’ll fit in:
KrakenFlex is the flexibility arm of the Kraken group, built to put a big green dent in global carbon emissions by rewriting how electricity grids operate. We stabilize the grid and help renewables come online much faster by managing the second-by-second balance of clean power. Right now, our platform connects nearly one million assets worldwide, putting over 6GW of live load under our direct control.

Behind the scenes, that means handling massive technical scale: solving complex optimization problems in real time and processing 15 billion data readings a day from the latest green technologies, ensuring the grid stays reliable without relying on old fossil-fuel backup plants.

The next phase of our journey involves monumental growth. Currently operational across multiple countries, we are poised for further global expansion, scaling our asset base and tackling unique grid challenges in new territories. Our mission is to integrate an increasingly diverse array of green flexibility assets while ensuring our market-leading platform remains exceptionally stable and performant.

What is Optimisation in Flex?
The Optimisation chapter is the mathematical and algorithmic engine of the KrakenFlex platform. While other chapters manage physical asset connectivity or ingest market signals, this domain is responsible for the intelligence that decides exactly what every asset should do, second by second, to maximise both grid stability and financial returns.

The teams within this chapter build and maintain the real-time dispatch engines, predictive forecasting models, and algorithmic solvers that handle massive multi-asset portfolios. This involves translating complex market rules, physical asset constraints (like battery degradation curves, state-of-charge limits, and ramp rates), and fluctuating price signals into optimised execution strategies.

The defining challenge for this chapter is scaling computational performance alongside our rapid asset growth. Running complex, multi-variable mathematical models in tight real-time windows requires immense efficiency. The core tension lies in balancing the demand from data science and quantitative engineering to introduce increasingly sophisticated models with the strict platform requirement for absolute reliability, low latency, and cost-effective cloud compute.

Ultimately, this chapter must move away from bespoke optimisation routines tailored to individual markets or asset types. Your goal is to architect a highly performant, modular optimisation core that uses standard abstract layers, allowing us to roll out new algorithms or expand into new global territories without rewriting the underlying engine.

🚀 What you’ll own:
The Flex platform is built on autonomous Chapters, which are collections of specialists focused on delivering a core service or business outcome, defined by the unchanging nature of the energy business (independent of technology, hardware, or regional differences). A Head of Engineering leading a Chapter is a senior leadership role combining strong product thinking, engineering judgement, operational awareness, and people leadership. They manage managers and senior individual contributors, helping teams own their product surfaces, make sound trade-offs, and deliver reliably.

This role requires influencing beyond its formal remit, spotting cross-team patterns, clarifying ownership and decision-making, and driving initiatives to turn recurring issues into visible actions with owners, dates, and measures of success. Ultimately, they maintain the technical vision for their specific area, ensuring services are appropriately owned, maintained, and aligned with Flex’s sustainable growth.

Managing the leads.

Maintaining the technical vision for a given area.

The overall team architecture

Ensuring the services in that area are owned and maintained appropriately.

Ensuring that product features are built in a way that scales, is cost-effective, and is in line with the vision for a product area.

Ensuring the appropriate level of quality and resilience, with a specific focus on reducing system incidents and improving stability.

Ensuring appropriate tech debt is prioritised to support sustainable delivery.

Potentially managing a squad (team) as well.

🧠 What you’ll bring to the party:
You’ll be a strong fit if you have experience leading engineering teams across multiple squads, teams or product areas in a complex product environment.

A collaborative product and engineering mindset: you care about customer outcomes, product strategy, technical quality and the people needed to make the work real.

Strong judgement in ambiguity: you can separate urgent from important, make trade-offs explicit and help teams move without pretending all uncertainty has disappeared.

A track record of influencing beyond your reporting line and team, building trust with senior stakeholders and helping teams reach decisions when ownership is shared.

A bias for action and improvement: when you see a recurring issue, you turn it into the smallest useful action that starts making the system better.

Reliability in driving initiatives: people can trust that when you take ownership, the work keeps moving, dependencies are managed and decisions are followed through.

Strong people leadership practice, including coaching, direct feedback, performance management, delegation, psychological safety and development of future leaders.

Are you ready for a career with us? We want to ensure you have the right tools and environment to unleash your potential.
