About the Role
Matalan is looking for a Commercial Analyst to join our team! This role offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic retail business, supporting the Store Development / Retail Operations team on key projects and capital investments.
Key Responsibilities in this role:
- Ensure all purchase orders (POs), receipts, and invoices are processed accurately and in a timely manner.
- Prepare and manage Capex documentation, including financial appraisals.
- Monitor capital and revenue spend on active projects, providing weekly updates.
- Assist with capital reconciliation alongside the Finance team.
- Support the budget-building process in collaboration with project managers.
- Manage accruals and ensure financial records are up to date.
- Provide administrative support to retail finance and field teams.
- Respond to general store inquiries and ad hoc requests.
About You
- You will have strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively, and accurately.
- Experience in raising and managing POs and financial paperwork.
- Be able to work in a fast paced environment.
- You will have a collaborative working approach to ensure consistency in financial management and a strong understanding of:
- Microsoft Excel
- Oracle Financial
