Join our growing team at ConnexAI as a Database Engineer, where you’ll help ensure the robustness, security, and efficiency of our database infrastructure—critical to the performance of our main Customer Experience Management (CXM) platform. You’ll work across both development and business-as-usual (BAU) tasks, playing a central role in diagnosing and resolving complex issues, fine-tuning performance, and supporting high-impact projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain, optimise, and troubleshoot PostgreSQL databases to ensure peak performance

  • Analyse and tune database parameters for reliability and scalability

  • Implement updates, patches, and new database versions

  • Support production and development teams through issue resolution and utility coding

  • Develop and maintain custom scripts for data migration and loading

  • Collaborate with the CXM team on escalations and complex database applications

Essential Skills

  • Strong background in relational databases (e.g. PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server)

  • Solid command of Linux and Bash scripting

  • Proven expertise in database performance, maintenance, and security

  • Experience generating reports and handling data workflows

  • Clear, effective communicator—comfortable working cross-functionally and, when required, with clients
