Salary: Competitive + £4,800 car allowance (or £4,300 cash alternative)

About the Role
Royal Mail is undergoing a major transformation to meet the demands of a parcel-first and environmentally conscious future. As Electrical Design Engineering Lead, you’ll play a pivotal role in this journey—driving innovation, managing electrical engineering projects, and leading a growing team.
This is a national role, requiring regular travel across UK sites. You’ll report to the Head of Design Engineering and be instrumental in delivering efficient, future-ready engineering solutions.
Key Responsibilities

Lead electrical design and delivery of in-house technical solutions

Manage testing and implementation for electrical-focused projects

Oversee and expand a team of engineers, promoting innovation and high performance

Drive continuous improvement across design processes and automation systems

Collaborate with maintenance teams to enhance system reliability

Champion in-house manufacturing capabilities and process development
