Job Description
Senior Quality Engineering Manager – Data Intelligence
Location: Nottingham | Team: Data Ingestion, Platform & Solution Squad
Join LSEG as a Senior Quality Engineering Manager in the Data Intelligence team. You will lead end-to-end (E2E) test strategy, coordination, execution, and reporting for complex data platform projects, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality delivery across functional, integration, performance, and system testing.
Key Responsibilities

Own and drive E2E test strategy, planning, and execution for Azure-based data platforms

Coordinate across SCRUM teams, product owners, and data/content stakeholders

Define quality gates and ensure alignment with Agile principles and LSEG standards

Lead performance testing and collaborate on SIT, UAT, and regression efforts

Guide teams on test planning for data validation, lineage, completeness, metadata, and quality

Manage test reporting, defect triage, and continuous improvement processes

Support code promotion readiness, ensuring exit criteria are met before staging

Mentor QA engineers and foster a quality-first culture across engineering teams
Tech & Domain Expertise
-
15+ years in QA/Test Management across large-scale data or cloud projects
-
Experience with Azure Fabric, Data Factory, Databricks, Synapse, Purview
-
Skilled in Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, containerisation, and test automation
-
Strong in API testing (Postman), performance testing (e.g., JMeter)

Familiarity with SaaS platforms, DaaS/MDS, and data lake/ETL pipelines

Knowledge of data product delivery, metadata config, data dictionaries, and business glossaries

Financial market knowledge and production support experience is a plus

Strong communicator with ability to engage C-level stakeholders

Able to build trusted relationships across technology and business teams

Capable of balancing strategic goals with project execution needs

Certified in ISTQB (Advanced/Expert) and familiar with Agile/Scrum frameworks
