The Role
We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer (Back End) to play a key role in delivering impactful, high-quality solutions across our platform. You will design and build scalable backend systems, solve complex technical challenges, and contribute to engineering excellence.
Working closely with engineers, product managers, designers, and leadership, you will help develop robust features used by millions of users worldwide. Your work will directly support the day-to-day operations of businesses ranging from SMEs to large enterprises.
This role is primarily remote, with occasional office attendance and site visits as required.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and deliver scalable backend solutions for product features
- Write clean, efficient, modular code aligned with best practices
- Maintain high engineering standards in collaboration with infrastructure and QA teams
- Contribute to system architecture and technical decision-making
- Mentor and support junior engineers, helping to elevate team performance
- Collaborate cross-functionally to deliver high-quality, impactful outcomes
About You
- 5+ years of experience in software engineering
- Strong expertise in API design (REST, RPC) and related frameworks (e.g. gRPC, OpenAPI)
- Experience with microservices and service-oriented architecture
- Familiarity with modern tools and platforms such as Docker, ECS, Lambda, SQS, and Kinesis
- Experience with databases and storage solutions (e.g. MySQL, Redis, DynamoDB, S3)
- Knowledge of Elasticsearch is beneficial
- Proficiency in PHP or Go is highly advantageous
- Strong understanding of system design principles including scalability, fault tolerance, and observability
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills
- Experience mentoring developers and contributing to architectural decisions
- Comfortable working autonomously in fast-paced, evolving environments
