The Role

Join the Post Trade Regulatory Reporting (PTRR) team within LSEG Markets, focusing on regulatory systems like EMIR and MiFIR, underpinned by our in-house ETL and visualisation platform. As a Solution Engineer, you’ll work in a Scrum team to deliver SQL-based solutions, support production systems, and develop features based on business requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Translate business needs into efficient SQL Server solutions

  • Participate fully in Agile ceremonies and team collaboration

  • Write clean, well-tested code with a focus on quality

  • Support live environments through issue analysis and code fixes

  • Own your changes from development to deployment

  • Collaborate with Site Reliability Engineers and stakeholders

  • Engage in continuous learning and contribute to design and planning

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related field

  • Strong SQL Server skills (DDL/DML, aggregates, query optimization)

  • Understanding of Agile and SDLC practices

  • Analytical mindset with strong communication skills

  • Self-driven with a focus on process improvement

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of Python, PowerShell, Snowflake, or cloud/data warehousing

  • Experience in regulatory reporting (EMIR, MiFIR)

Personal Qualities:

  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and resilient

  • Strong collaborator with a growth mindset

  • Problem-solver who thrives in complex environments
