System Engineer job in London – £60K – £70K

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and maintain advanced AI medical imaging software, ensuring smooth integration with existing systems
  • Gather and analyse customer requirements to support efficient and successful deployments
  • Provide technical support to customers and partners, troubleshooting and resolving issues
  • Contribute to improving delivery and implementation processes to enhance customer experience
  • Support customers outside standard working hours when required (on-call rotation)
  • Work closely with development teams to ensure seamless application deployment
  • Document system configurations, procedures, and best practices
  • Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends

Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field
  • 5+ years’ experience in system engineering or a similar role
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g. Python, PowerShell, Bash)
  • Strong knowledge of Linux, networking, and security principles
  • Experience with cloud platforms (ideally GCP), Kubernetes, and container orchestration
  • Hands-on experience with Linux environments, including installation, upgrades, and maintenance
  • Familiarity with Docker troubleshooting and container environments
  • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automation tools (e.g. Terraform, Ansible, ArgoCD)
  • Knowledge of monitoring/observability tools across GCP, AWS, or Azure
  • Solid understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN) is beneficial
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Professional and confident communication, both on the phone and in person

Working Environment: Hybrid / Remote

Salary:

  • €70,000 – €80,000 per year
  • £60,000 – £70,000 per year
