We’re Hiring an Improvement Engineer (QA/Test Focus)
We’re looking for a test engineer who sees QA as a product discipline. Someone who brings the systems thinking of an engineer with the curiosity and rigour of a tester. You’ll own quality across the stack—by catching issues before they reach production, building automated confidence, and raising the bar for engineering maturity.
Who You Are
- You think of quality as enabling speed, not blocking it.
- You design test coverage that gives teams confidence, not just coverage for its own sake.
- You’re hands-on—comfortable automating tests, writing fixtures, and poking holes in assumptions.
- You care about real users—when the system breaks, you think about what the vet or pet owner
- experiences.
- You bring structure to ambiguity and help teams catch edge cases early.
- You enjoy finding the right failure before customers do.
- You are an integrator between engineering, product and customer support.
Core Competencies
- Experience in QA engineering, test automation, or release validation
- Comfortable testing modern stacks: Node.js, React, APIs
- Able to build and maintain E2E test suites, integration tests, and load tests
- Familiar with tools like Playwright, Cypress, Postman, or Jest
- Comfortable writing test plans, building test data, and working closely with engineers and product
- Bonus: experience in CI pipelines (GitHub Actions, CircleCI), mobile app testing, or backend testing with mocks and contracts
