The Role:

The company are working with customers globally to develop novel solutions to a range of applications, utilising the latest technology available! As a Software Team Lead, you will be working closely with the various engineering teams to help build and deploy their next generation of products. In this role you will have a real impact on the influence of the product from Design to Manufacture.

This is a Software Team role primarily focused on a combination of project leadership, team leadership and the development of clean, scalable code. Due to the nature of the work you will be required to go through the clearance process.

Key Skills:

• Degree in Electronics, Embedded Systems or similar is highly desirable
• Good commercial Embedded Linux or Embedded C++ experience
• Previous experience leading teams of software engineers at a Technical level
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Experience working on products utilising FPGA’s is highly desirable
• Commercial experience building products with latency in mind is also advantageous
• Any interest in Rust is highly desirable but not essential.

The company are offering is competitive dependent on experience (likely six figures) along with an excellent benefits package. You will be working as part of a small development team utilising the latest tech in one of the fastest growing sectors in Embedded systems.

The company are expanding due to growth and interest in their products, and are seeking Embedded Software Engineers with a particular interest in both Linux Kernel and C on Linux work for high speed networking devices. You will be part of a small, development team working on a hybrid basis from their office in Cambridge. Hexwired Recruitment has partnered with a world leader in Automation solutions with offices in Southampton now seeking a Principal C++ Engineer with solid experience working on algorithm design for autonomous systems.

The company are rapidly expanding due to increased interest in their product range as well as developing bespoke solutions for customers. They’re developing a number of products that utilise RF connectivity and Robotics so require synchronisation in realtime.

As a Principal C++ Engineer in Southampton, you will be heavily involved in leading the development of both Userspace Linux applications and Algorithm design.

Key skills required for this Principal C++ Engineer:

• Degree in Computer Science, Embedded Systems or similar
• 5+ years commercial C++ or Python experience
• Good commercial experience working on Embedded Linux
• Experience working on Algorithm design for Control systems
