Software Team Lead C/C++ job in Histon, Cambridgeshire – Competitive salary DOE

Hexwired Recruitment has partnered with a well established Electronics manufacturer with offices in Histon . They are now looking for a Software Team Lead to help lead a new portfolio of products the company is looking to develop.

The Role:

The company are working with customers globally to develop novel solutions to a range of applications, utilising the latest technology available! As a Software Team Lead, you will be working closely with the various engineering teams to help build and deploy their next generation of products. In this role you will have a real impact on the influence of the product from Design to Manufacture.

This is a Software Team role primarily focused on a combination of project leadership, team leadership and the development of clean, scalable code. Due to the nature of the work you will be required to go through the clearance process.

Key Skills:

• Degree in Electronics, Embedded Systems or similar is highly desirable
• Good commercial Embedded Linux or Embedded C++ experience
• Previous experience leading teams of software engineers at a Technical level
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Experience working on products utilising FPGA’s is highly desirable
• Commercial experience building products with latency in mind is also advantageous
• Any interest in Rust is highly desirable but not essential.

The company are offering is competitive dependent on experience (likely six figures) along with an excellent benefits package.
