Networking Technician contract job in London – Outside IR35 – DOE

Hexwired Recruitment has partnered with a leading aerospace company seeking a Networking Technician to support its global networking operations. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a highly technical environment, supporting critical infrastructure and enterprise systems across a growing organisation.

The role will involve working across networking, virtualisation, and storage technologies, supporting installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and operational activities. While working as part of a wider technical team, you should also be confident managing tasks independently and taking ownership of technical issues when required.

Key responsibilities include:

• Supporting global networking infrastructure and operational environments
• Working with VMware virtualisation platforms and IBM SAN Storage systems
• Assisting with hardware connectivity, configuration, and troubleshooting
• Supporting system maintenance, deployments, and infrastructure upgrades
• Working collaboratively with engineering and infrastructure teams
• Managing technical tasks independently within fast-paced environments

Key skills and experience required:

• Experience working with VMware environments
• Experience supporting IBM SAN Storage systems
• VMware and IBM SAN Storage certifications preferred
• Own tools including laptop, console cable, and Ethernet patch cord
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment
• Strong communication and organisational skills
