Quality Engineer job in Duxford – Aerospace Composites | Continuous Improvement & QMS

Key Responsibilities
- Support operations, customers, and suppliers to maximise efficiency and minimise disruption
- Lead and contribute to quality improvement initiatives (LEAN, FMEA, APQP, 5S, continuous improvement)
- Manage internal and external complaints, driving resolution through effective root cause analysis (RCCA)
- Collaborate with global and local teams to ensure timely technical support and solutions
- Conduct product and system investigations, including statistical and data analysis using tools like Minitab
- Review specifications to ensure compliance and risk mitigation across global and local standards
- Support and enhance the Quality Management System (QMS) through audits and process reviews
- Develop in-depth knowledge of products, processes, and testing methods to support issue resolution
Required Skills & Experience
- Around 5 years’ experience within Quality Engineering or Quality Management Systems in a complex industry
- Experience with AS9100 and/or ISO9001 auditing, with awareness of NADCAP
- Strong understanding of aerospace or advanced manufacturing environments
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g. Minitab, SPC techniques, or similar statistical software)
- Experience with QMS systems or laboratory data management platforms
- Degree (or equivalent) in a scientific or engineering discipline
- Strong communication skills and experience working across multi-site/global teams
