Senior Data Scientist job in Manchester – £60k to £90k 

Hexwired Recruitment is working with a client in Manchester who is looking to onboard experienced Senior Data Scientist to support a number of high-profile programmes across finance, energy, and secure government environments.

This is an excellent opportunity for a person who’s looking for a permanent role with active DV clearance, offering immediate project impact.

In this role you will analyse and model complex datasets, develop machine learning solutions, and communicate insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. You will also be working in a collaborative, agile environment, and contribute to end-to-end delivery, from data exploration to deployment while mentoring junior team members.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyse, transform, and model structured and unstructured data
• Design, build, and deploy ML/AI models and data pipelines
• Present insights through visualisation and reporting
• Collaborate with engineers, developers, and stakeholders
• Support research, experimentation, and innovation
• Mentor and guide less experienced team members

About You

• Strong experience in data science and machine learning
• Proficient in Python and modern data tools (e.g. notebooks, cloud platforms)
• Skilled in statistical analysis and problem-solving
• Strong communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences
• Experience leading projects or supporting team development
