Senior Systems Engineer job in Weybridge – £60K – £75K

A rapidly growing electronics manufacturer is looking for a Senior Systems Engineer to support the development of innovative, long-term technology programmes being delivered to customers across global markets.

The role offers the opportunity to work on advanced products and systems utilising cutting-edge technologies across a range of industries. You will be part of a multidisciplinary engineering team, contributing to the development of complex systems from concept through to delivery.

This position has a strong focus on Systems Engineering principles, particularly the V-Model lifecycle, with significant involvement in software-related systems activities. Due to the nature of the projects, candidates must be eligible to undergo UK security clearance.

Key responsibilities include:

• Applying Systems Engineering methodologies across the full product development lifecycle
• Supporting requirements capture, system design, verification, validation, and integration activities
• Working within the V-Model framework to ensure robust systems development processes
• Producing and maintaining high-quality technical documentation
• Participating in technical reviews, design reviews, and stakeholder discussions
• Collaborating with software, electronics, mechanical, and project engineering teams
• Supporting the development of complex systems used across multiple industries and international markets
• Contributing to system-level problem solving, analysis, and decision-making

Key skills and experience required:

• Degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related technical discipline
• Strong understanding and practical experience of the V-Model Systems Engineering lifecycle
• Excellent written communication and technical documentation skills
• Ability to work within structured engineering and development processes
• Strong analytical and systems-thinking capabilities
• Eligibility to obtain SC or DV security clearance

Highly desirable experience includes:

• Exposure to Object-Oriented Programming languages such as C#, C++, Java, or similar
• Experience working within software-focused systems engineering environments
• Requirements management, verification, and validation experience
• Experience working on complex multidisciplinary engineering projects
