Electronics Engineer job in Glasgow – DOE

AAC Clyde Space is looking for an Electronics Engineer to join their Glasgow team, working on the development of advanced satellite subsystems and space technologies. The role focuses on designing, testing, and supporting electronics used in real-world space missions and satellite platforms.

You’d be involved in projects ranging from actuator control systems to optical communication devices, contributing to technology that will ultimately be deployed into space.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Design analogue and digital electronic systems for satellite applications
  • Work on products including laser communication systems, star trackers, reaction wheels, sun sensors, and magnetometers
  • Improve existing hardware designs and participate in technical design reviews
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, requirements, and user manuals
  • Support projects through delivery, testing, and deployment phases
  • Guide test teams on debugging and troubleshooting electronic designs
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams across the wider AAC Clyde Space group
  • Support projects while balancing budget, schedule, and compliance requirements
