Job Description
Lead FPGA / DSP Engineer job in Royston – £90K – £130K
Hexwired Recruitment is working with a specialist company developing advanced software-defined radio (SDR) platforms. They are now looking for a Lead FPGA / DSP Engineer to take ownership of DSP implementation and help drive the development of next-generation wireless devices.
This is a senior, hands-on role where you’ll lead on FPGA and DSP design, working within a multi-disciplinary team to deliver compact, low-power, high-performance products.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead DSP implementation across SDR-based products
- Design, develop, and debug FPGA solutions for next-generation wireless systems
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative, low-power designs
- Contribute to modem design and advanced signal processing solutions
- Optimise performance, efficiency, and reliability of DSP systems
- Take technical ownership of projects and guide development direction
Key Skills & Experience
- Strong experience working with software-defined radio (SDR) systems
- Deep understanding of digital signal processing (DSP) techniques
- In-depth knowledge of modem design
- Experience with error correction schemes
- Extensive experience with Verilog or VHDL
- Knowledge of low-power design principles
