Embedded Software Engineer job in Cheltenham – £55K – £65K
Hexwired Recruitment has partnered with a highly successful R&D company, now looking to hire an Embedded Software Engineer with strong firmware development experience, particularly within automation and robotics systems.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop embedded software and firmware for automation and robotics platforms
- Work on motor control systems, including BLDC (Brushless DC) motors or similar technologies
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-performance embedded solutions
- Contribute to system design, development, and testing across the product lifecycle
- Support optimisation and debugging of embedded systems
Key Skills & Experience:
- Degree in Embedded Systems, Electronics, Maths, Physics, or a related field
- 3+ years of commercial embedded software development experience
- Strong programming skills in C for embedded systems
- Experience working with BLDC motors or motor control systems
- Familiarity with STM32 microcontrollers (desirable but not essential)
The company offers a salary of £55,000 – £65,000 depending on experience, alongside a comprehensive benefits package and flexible working options, including some remote working.
