Assembly Technician job in Gloucester – Up to £35K
Hexwired Recruitment has partnered with a leading electronics company in Gloucester, now looking to hire a skilled Assembly Technician to support the build and production of advanced electronic products. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on assembly experience who can work both independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble electronic products across multiple stages of the production process
- Carry out soldering tasks in line with IPC standards (training provided if required)
- Identify and work with electronic components such as resistors, capacitors, and similar devices
- Interpret electrical wiring diagrams and mechanical drawings accurately
- Use a range of hand tools safely and effectively
- Manage workload efficiently to meet production deadlines
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the production team
Key Skills & Experience:
- Experience in electronic or mechanical assembly environments
- Basic understanding of electronic components and their functions
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
- Good manual dexterity and attention to detail
- Strong time management and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
