Technical Support Engineer job in Stockport – DOE

The Response Coordination Centre (RCC) plays a central role within Dematic Software, ensuring customers receive high-quality, responsive support across its automation and logistics platforms. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment and enjoys solving technical challenges while working with large-scale, mission-critical systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support for bespoke applications via phone and email
  • Monitor and manage incidents, ensuring resolution within strict SLA timeframes
  • Maintain clear communication with customers, stakeholders, and internal teams
  • Proactively monitor large-scale, business-critical systems and respond to alerts
  • Assess risks before performing actions on live systems to ensure service continuity
  • Make informed, application-sensitive decisions to minimise disruption
  • Support internal teams and contribute to overall service delivery excellence
  • Travel to customer sites when required to better understand operational environments

Key Skills & Experience:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent listening skills, with the ability to translate customer issues into technical solutions
  • Experience working in a customer-facing or technical support environment
  • Familiarity with incident management and reporting tools
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, structured environment
  • Logical, problem-solving mindset with an engineering or computing background
  • Team-oriented approach with a focus on shared goals and continuous improvement
